San Diego's Album Leaf, founded by Jimmy LaValle, remixes one of the greatest band's of all times' (Lotus) "Orchids" into a very mellow and easy listen. This remix embodies the strings and guitar of the original in with a hip-hop beat added to his atmospheric elements to create "a track that invokes a sepia-filtered, cinematic nostalgia", as stated in the description on soundcloud (couldn't have said it any better myself). Kick back, relax, and feel the warmth of this emotional remix.

Mojek & House Of Royalty: Mixed Nuts EP
Forgot to finish this one a while back, but here is more funky goodness from the brain of Chi-towns very own, Mojek and House Of Royalty.
This is my favorite track off the EP, and one of my favorite house tracks in general right now. Great mixture of sounds right here.
I'd have to say this is my other f4v3

Dance Meat: Peasunk Compliation Volume I Mixtape
"You think Underground is dope, fuck yall know about UnderSEA?"
Internationally based collective Dance Meat just released their first mixtape, put together by Starfoxxx Chicago through Boyhouse Ltd. and all I can say is, hotDamn. If this is their first mixtape, I can't wait to see what come out next. These cats are from all over, including Chicago (Cid Ikarus, Mojek, Roy G. Biv & Raum, House Of Royalty, BBR) as well as others from Boston (N0ms), NY (Dr. Syncro, Flubba, Cream Dream, Tony Quattro, Narkotone, Poncho Party), Canada (Beatmeat, Everythings terrible, Jaekwon Waximoney), UK (spoonz) and back to Urbana, IL (Tigorilla). This mixtape is full of different electronic influences that are sure to satisfy your liking. Take some Glitch, Juke, Sea Punk, Lean House, Club beats, and some Ambient shit and put it all into one super groovy compilation, and this is what you get. Without further a due, download or buy this mixtape, and let your meat dance. This is only part 1, so stay tuned bitches.

Mosca: Done Me Wrong/Bax
These two tracks by Mosca are pure sex. "Done Me Wrong" brings those classic UK Garage vibes to the table creating boners and wetness everywhere. This one's meant to get you dancin and it does just that. "Bax"-another one that's hard not to move to- is a simple deep house track influenced from that original Garage sound that is also sure to get your genitals (and feet) reacting. Clubgoers can expect to hear this one in the club, if they play good music of course.

Excision: Brutal
Excision shreds some brutal guitar riffs and hits us with that dirty heavy metal & dubstep combo. The two genres are meant to be, and this is all the proof you need.

Deep Dubs: Goth-Trad, Beger, Cyrus, Sonika, Truth
We sometimes forget about the underrated artist's who produce the deepness, the stuff that is iller yet much simpler than some of the heaviest most complex brostep drops out there. Samples for this kind of dub always seem to be on point as well. This is the good shit right here. Downloads weren't available for all the tracks, but you should still listen to em.

Burial & Four Tet: Nova
Somewhat out of the blue, Burial & Four Tet collaborate once again to bring you the deep vibes only they are capable of bringing. These two together are by far one of the best duos in electronic music, if not the best. "Nova" is one of those song you wish would never end, which explains why I've already listened to this about 11 times in the past hour, at the library, instead of catching up on my readings and studying for mid-terms. I have priorities in life, and this is one of them. Hopefully this gets released soon so we can save it in our media libraries, where we can then sync up to our mp3 players so we can take it everywhere we go. In the mean time, enjoy these sounds.
C.S.O. (Compltely Souled Out): It's Time
Colorado native C.S.O. has got some ill-phat beats and textures, somewhat resembling the unique sounds of my man Tigran MiMosa. The tasty 3 dimensional bass, dope wobbles, banging percussion, chopped up rap samples, majestic harp & synths and glitchy goodness will have you grooving til the end. Everything going on in here comes together greatly, resulting in an incredibly smooth, sexy and overall "successful" tune that you won't be able to get enough of. As always, I highly suggest you bang this one as loud as you can. Hit up C.S.O.'s soundcloud to hear more sick tunes, and keep an ear out for more to come in the future. Bang.

Crushington: Voodoo Skank (BIG)
I usually don't buy music because I'm a broke ass dude, but I couldn't find a download link for this anywhere and I just HAD to have it, so I payed 99 cents for it. Yes, it put a dent in my wallet and life, but it was very worth it, because this is the kind of brostep I like. Crushington's first impression on me with this absolute banger is an excellent impression indeed, and if he can keep producing tracks this evile, he will go fah, very fah. Yes, tis a tad repetitive, but this is dub/brostep after all, and the drop is so good that I just can't seem to get enough of it. Do the right thing and buy this huge track for not even a dollar at the bottom of the page. Or be a bitch and don't do it, you cheap pussyflap.
Keep an ear out for more monster tunes by sir Crushington
Canblaster: Clockworks
There is no telling in which direction time is moving in Canblaster's "Clockworks". This dance beat reminds me of a bumpin clock factory or an F.A.O. Schwartz for people that like to shake booty, full of dwarfs making sure all the 'Clockwork' is running smoothly. The chimes and percussive tick tocking mixed in with the constantly changing dance beat result in a fun and unique dreamlike adventure you can only access by playing this housey playgroundish tune.
