Phear Phace: Speculate (KSH Remix)

Just a grimey filth bomb detonated by Phear Phace and Remixed by KSH. I think I have said all I need to say.

Lotus: Camp Bisco X- Lotus Set (DL)/Behind Midwest Storefronts (xtra DL)

Ladies and Gentlemen, Lotus's late night set at Camp Bisco X on Thursday July 7th, 2011 at the Grooveshark Tent in Mariaville, NY. One of the most amazing experiences I will probably ever have the honor of experiencing. If there is any real magic out there, Lotus live is it. Enjoy their set for the free. You should definitely cop this.

Here's how it went down...

1. Banter Crowd
2. Harps
3. Banter
4. Hammerstrike
5. Lead Pipe
6. Greet The Mind
7. Plant Your Root
8. Dowrn
9. Bellwether
10. Umbilical Moonset
11. Bellwether
12. Behind Midwest Storefronts
13. Banter
14. Blacklight Sunflare

This song is guilty of making me shed tears during their ridiculously incredible set at Bisco (X). I can't remember the last time that happened. The power of music, more specifically Lotus music... Buy a live version of Behind Midwest Storefronts (at the Riviera in Chicago, IL) below.

Nicksn & Torpex: Screech

More filth. By Nicksn & Torpex.
Ear bleeding music :)

Point.Blank ft. Maksim: Dirt On The Side

Belgium's Point.Blank (Matar & Vyron) and north London's Maksim get substantially ill with this narsty toon. Point.Blank have came out with releases on Dubsaw Recordings, Veri Lo Records, & Stupid Fly Recordings and Maksim has hosted DJ sets by well known prodcuers MRK1, Cookie Monsta, Chasing Shadows and Skism. Love thy bass.

Castlevania: Vampire Killer (King Kuula Remix)

Cali's King Kuula gets ill with this remix of Castlevania's "Vampire Killer". The aggressive bass and video-gamey synths and numerous other cool sounds throughout the song will leave you womping til the very end. I would also like to add that California has got a bunch of great dubalicious talent coming out of it. Keep it up Cali. We like what you're doing. Enjoy.

Chaboki: Big Dreams feat. Shad Willyums

"16 but my flow's 21 and up"

From Toronto to Chicago comes 16 year old Chaboki, who is making big name artists such as Mac Miller look like amateurs in the hip hop game. This kid spits some rhymes now that are so ahead of his league that I'm almost afraid to see where he's going to be in a few years. Listen close and stay tuned.

Modeselektor: Dark Side of the Sun

Some ill sounds from Modeselektor feat Puppetmastaz. Swag.

Fellow ft. Basic One: Kibreloga (Mojek Remix)

Sir Mojek baked this one up 5 hours ago and is servin it to you fresh out the oven!! You heard it first. Literally. Now get down & dirty with this fun booty shaking remix. Peace.

Two Fresh at SummerCamp Music Festival: Ariel Pink Remix

Here's a groovin remix and a very well made video of Two Fresh throwing down at SummerCamp.
 Respect.

Peo De Pitte: Burning Up (Zodiac Cartel Remix)

Bro Safari & Nerd Rage: Real Life/Wombats

Here is a duo I just came across that caught my attention pretty quickly. Bro Safari
& Nerd Rage know how to get nasty with some mosh pit worthy dubstep as well as they know how to get down with some dirty shoulder popping electro. Test your speakers with these tunes. Don't blame me if they blow out, which they probably will.

Pixel Fist: Talking Heads EP

Pixel Fist punches you repeatedly in the brain with his heavy hitting bass weaponry with ammo from his new Talking Heads EP.

This one starts getting nasty at 1:29 . Don't say I didn't warn you.

Liquid Stranger: The Arcane Terrain

I just now realized that one of my personal favorite dubstep artists, Liquid Stranger, released a new album called "The Arcane Terrain" about two months ago. This is not what you would expect to hear from Liquid Stranger, or should I say this is not the dubstep you would normally expect to hear. This album takes you back to his roots, a deep, dark place full of mythical creatures and insects and thriving plants and trippy tribal sounds, whispers, echoes, and some eerie but mostly chill/happy vibes. LS doesn't need to go heavy to impress. If you like the dubby side of dubstep and chill music in general you will more than likely enjoy "The Arcane Terrain". Check out a couple tunes and if you like what you hear buy the album all the way at the bottom.

Pesci & Skywalkerr: Squid Strander

Meet Boulder, CO locals Sean Hochman and James Burnell, aka Pesci & Skywalkerr, whose very first track has been creating avalanches on Colorado's ski slopes since its release. Keep an eye out for these two. More merciless sounds should be coming your way soon...

Cyberoptix: Shades of Orange

When you think of the name Cyberoptix, whether you have heard him or not, you would automatically think that he makes filthies. You would be right about that. Cyberoptix is no sweet heart, but on this one he takes us away from the dark side and shows us a new Cyberoptix we didn't know existed. Very nice sounds from the lovely harp and an overall very laid back tune.

Megalodon: Why the Fuck Not

Megalodon gets nasty with this bouncy track. W0mp out.

Baths: Plea/Cerulean (Album)

If you like Flying Lotus, Mux Mool, Amon Tobin and other similar artists (and if you're indie), you are in for a treat.

I had listened to a few of Bath's songs before and dug what my ears were hearing, but wasn't too crazy about it. However, I believe that has changed after seeing him live at Pitchfork. It didn't take long for me to be very impressed with this new artist who sang while he grooved while getting technical with the complex fill ins and crazy ear-wakening sounds. This is a very talented artist who is not only dope in a musical sense but also dope as a person. Bath's, if I a not mistaken, (and I highly doubt I am) is a very happy gay man whose personality and love of self is enough to put a smile on your face. At one point during his set he messed up but he played it off very well by announcing "I fucked up", laughing it off with the rest of the crowd and continuing after he got it right. Then he dedicated one of his last songs to all the gay guys and girls in the crowd but had the decency to dedicate it to all the straight folks as well :). How thoughtful and "cute" (he kept using "cute" to describe his songs lol) of him. If you have a chance to see him you should definitely go. Now enjoy these "cute" songs.

Filth by Cyberoptix

I was going to post one by Cyberoptix, but then I figured why not just post a couple...
Enjoy ze dubstep.

Snoop Dogg: Boom (Archnemesis Remix)

This is an absolute party starting banger by the epic duo Archnemesis and of course samples from the universally loved and respected Snoop Dogg. Extreme funkiness is about to go down wherever you bump this one, guaranteed, whether you are in Egypt or eating burritos up in Chipotle. Rage on.

Megalodon & Conscious Pilot: Gangsta Shit (Original & Culprate remix)

The Original by Megalodon & Concious Pilot is pretty sick if you like your ears filled with grime.

And here is a nasty butt remix with many interesting parts and switch-ups by Culprate. This remix shows the original who's boss. Don't miss that sick breakdown. Gangsta shit...

Chaos ensues as soon as you click that button down below.

No Download Link Unfortunately...

Strictly Difficult: Illa Killa

I was extremely lifted last night and passed out on the couch while watching the classic movie "Clockers" directed by Spike Lee. Then I woke up 9 hours later to the same movie playing and heard a song I really liked during the scene where the boy on the bike shoots the crackhead through the brown paper bag... After listening to every song on the soundtrack, I believe I have found the song I was looking for. At least I'm pretty sure I did... Here's a great old school Hip-Hop song by Strictly Difficult off of the "Clockers" Soundtrack.

Andain: Promises (KOAN Sound) Remix

For once a chilled out tune by KOAN Sound, the master of disaster. KOAN Sound's "sound" seems to be on drugs, possibly ketamine, or maybe some promethazine, or, some other shit. Enjoy it though....

Vexare

I just heard of this cat Vexare out of Los Angeles, California. The kid is 15 years old but he is without a doubt a natural dubstep producer. He's got that fast paced, heavy hitting (aka dirrrty) sound we at TMB are looking for. So without further ado, VEXARE!

Firing by Vexare

if you enjoyed that, for dessert, a download link for another Vexare banger, "Anthony Luvs Dub" HERE

Amon Tobin: ISAM American Tour

Since releasing ISAM in April, Amon Tobin has been touring the world with a state of the art stage performance. The album blends the old with the new. It's got that same erie feel as the last few albums and yet the new sounds he has created for ISAM make this album revolutionary in it's own like. Check out the video preview of the tour as well as tour dates for Amon Tobin near you. It's a performance not to be missed.

Benga: Midnight

Benga is one of the godfathers of real dubstep.  His music will make you bounce and bite down till your jaws start to shatter. This one is dirtier than what he usually brings to the table. This sounds like Benga and Ajapai just declared war on each other and are duking it out to the fullest. Gotta love this stuff. Crank your speakers and womp.

Chi Based Beats: Positunes Vol. 1

I've learned over the years that some of the best music is the stuff that's hard to find, the stuff that doesn't take mass amounts of money to make sound good, the stuff that is born in shitty basements full of wierd shit, the stuff that real people with underrated skills make not for the money or fame but for the love of making it. Don't you dare pass up these foreally really sick tracks by some straight up real Chicago folkz. From chill hip hop beats that will inspire you to dome 2 blunts to the brain to up beat juke tracks that will make your ass jiggle & wiggle, they got a sound you'll dig.  These cats have gotten DJ support from Boom Monk Ben, Night Drugs, Boogaloo, Big Dope P & So Shifty. In other words, it is definitely worth listening to. Check it our for yourself.

Make sure to check out my man Mojek, ApeFace and Cid Ikarus's tracks. Fresh shit. Foreal doe.

Blackberry Playbook Commercial: Awesome song (The Temptations: Power)

I was watching t.v. last night and this commercial came on and my heart skipped 2 beats. It was like a funky 70's rave wave just toppled me over and and brought me to a sick dance party. They snapped on this commercial just because of the song... If I was blind I'd still buy it.

DJ Assault: Sex on The Beach

Classic juke tune by Detroit's one and only DJ Assault. I wish the video background was a little cooler... Great song regardless.

Joker: Tron/Tron V.I.P.

So what if this isn't new.  Joker's style does not have a timer. Shut the fuck up and plug in your goddamn speakers or your headphones, crank it, and let Joker take you into the world of Tron.

Deathstar: Ultraviolet Halo EP

MartyParty & Minnesota just recently had a baby they named Deathstar. Deathstar just had a baby called the Ultraviolet Halo EP, a nice blend of dirty banging synth leads/drops and MartyParty's "Purple" style which seems to take you on a wild "basswaveride", whatever that means.
DL it for the free down below.

Lotus: Greet The Mind (Memphis Mix by Alex Botwin of Pnuma Trio)

This song (Greet The Mind Remix) off the "Copy Paste Repeat" Album is my new obsession and will be stuck in my head for a while. For starters, Lotus is by far one of the most amazing bands... ever. I saw their set at Camp Bisco and it was incomparable to any show I have ever attended. My state of mind was on an unknown planet that I wish I could be on all the time. A planet where you see rays of light that aren't there, where straight is angled, where you are not exactly sure of whats going on but you can feel that you are going in the right direction, where it is hard to complete thoughts/sentences or explain things clearly, where confusion is king, where sounds are more colorful and beautiful than they are on Earth, where you feel connected to those free spirits lingering around you and a place where so many more things blow your mind and you can't explain how or why. While we were on this planet of confusion, we randomly rolled up on Lotus's set at the Grooveshark tent as soon as they started playing "Greet the Mind" and witnessed the most epic Lotus set that there possibly ever was. Twas so epic/emotional that I was forced to tears by the beautiful sounds, lights, and faces that made those 2 or so hours some of the best moments of my life. I'm not sure why I even started writing this, but I just wanted to share that Lotus was ridiculously great.
The next day we got down to some Lotus remixes at the campsite and this was by far my favorite one. I wish I had more songs like this. Listen, buy, and enjoy this very sexy and smooth hip hoppy remix by Alex B. of Pnuma Trio. Definitely Worth the dollar!

George Lenton: Paulie/SBPM EP

Incredibly sexy track by none other than U.K.'s "sexy track"(as I like to call it) producer George Lenton. The thing I like about my nigga George is that he switches it up every now and again, something I feel that all artists should do so they don't bore the listener. If you want some nasty heavier yet still sexy dub my man George can serve you up. If you want to go to funkytown with some groovin African rhythms George will send you there on a two headed giraffe. Swag.

For those of you who enjoy that aggressive step, you're in for a treat. This track that is sure to make you stomp like yo momma's life depends on it. J. Rabbit comes in with a crushing drop followed by a smooth breakdown in the middle, so whether you like it fast or slow, you'll probably dig this toon!

Subscape: Just Because

Great tune by Subscape. It is not new. I just really like it. For whatever reason this song reminds me of someone I miss very dearly that I can't seem to get out of my head no matter how hard I try. It takes me back to a time when I was lucky enough to spend magical moments with a truly magical person... wish things were the same.
Download below.

Wolfgang Gartner: Space Junk

Wolfgang Gartner is where its at. If the topic of conversation is who is dominating the house/electronic scene, WG will be at the top of the list. I actually don't know jack about WG, but I know there has been some hype about him lately and I know that his music makes me want to rage with ninjas and fight crime. Check out Space Junk, then every other song that he has. They are all dope!

iPod Shuffle: First 4 songs

This morning I was in the shower listening to my iPod (speakers, not in the shower) on shuffle and it brought me back to the good days. Probably and sadly my most prized possession, my iPod, is an adventure in its own. One minute I'll be strolling along Penny Lane with The Beatles and by the time I hit Halsted I'll either be getting invaded by robots or gettin buck in da club with Three Six. From now on (if I can remember) once a week, no matter what 4 songs comes on, whether I like them or not and no matter how embarrassing, I'm posting them bitches. Expand yo musical horizonszs. Bang.

Here go the first five songs that came on my iPod today....
1. Foreign Beggars feat Graziella- In It For A Minute
U.K. can rap. Foreign Beggars here to prove it.

2. Tenacious D- Belzeboss (The Final Showdown)
This song is full of greatness from the first second to the last. Besides being down right hilarious, Tenacious D actually do rock out very freeking hard and shred some devilish riffs as they do in this "Rock Off" against the devil himself.

3. Municipal Waste- The Thrashin' Of The Christ
This is the true definition of white boy crunk. Beers, bongs, blunts, bitches, brawls, blaring bass and circle pits. Municipal Waste never fails to get the party thrashing.

4. Cannibal Corpse- Raped by the Beast
If this song title doesn't make you cringe I don't know what will. I have my moments when CC appears on the ole pod. Always a smashing time. By smashing I mean smashing tourists and/or their babies faces to pulps with spiked bats. This song title alone depicts quite an obscene and horrific image/situation that I would assume be neither wished for or enjoyed by anyone, at least that I can think of.
