XXYYXX: Witching Hour

16 year old Floridian Marcel Everett has already made quite the name for himself in the electronic music scene during this past year or so. His music can be described as an underwater psychedelic journey driven by soul and emotion that paints vivid images in the consumer's mind. "Witching Hour" is a unique track of da trap nature off of the "XXYYXX" album. This gloomy, black & white, chill yet banging trap banger is different than the rest of the more laid back, downtempo, garagey tracks that make up the majority of the album. The mood in this one is somewhat eerie and mournful and seems like it should be played during the winter time in a barren forest during some satanic cult ritual/funeral. The sample is what gives it character and is what really caught my attention in the first place. Whether it's "gulls, gulls, I talk to Seagulls", or "cause, cause, I talk to Satan cause", it makes the track 666% more wicked and at the same time gives us some insight into what goes on in the mind of XXYYXX. The kid is on point and way advanced in his musical style and abilities when considering his age. Name your price, grab the 13 track self titled album here. You won't regret it!

random tracks from last month..

Here be a random few I discovered last month and dug at least a little bit.  Most of em have DL links. Get weird.

Zebra Katz & Boyfriend - Winter Titty (Lenkemz Remix)- goofy, but dope.

Kings- Lotus Flower in the Lake- one of King's non trappy songs. Lovin every bit of it.

Sentiment- Lithium- (Kings Remix)-  deep, smooth n sexy. Will cause moisture, man or woman, cat or dog.

Craze & Codes- Trapped in Sydney- banger may cause stink face

XXYYXX - About You - dat slooww shit

Giraffage & XXYYXX- "Even Though" (Teen Daze Remix)- 'Even though' the three artists live far apart and have never met, distance proved not to be an issue when it comes to making a good tune. Regardless of how difficult it was to complete this song by working online, Giraffage and XXYYXX made it happen, while Vancouver's Teen Daze did his thang with this upbeat remix. decent.

Download

Giraffage- "Money". juke clicks, trap hi hats, Miami 808 bleeps, effective sample cuts, dope shit, although it may be somewhat of an acquired taste.
